I found out this stay thanks to last minute auction in Nouvelles Frontières, at hotel Riu Tropicana 3* all inclusive : 389 a person.
Flight tickets, included, concern Lyon-Palma of Majorca by SpanAir. I was the only bidder.
Airport in Palma of Majorca is vast and creepy.
Hellish trip when returning. Leaving hotel at 3pm on Thursday, arriving in airport at 4.15pm, taking off at 8.30pm instead of 6.30pm because of a big strike
in France, flight during 1h30 (usually 1h) with deviation above Barcelone, Toulouse, St Etienne before landing in Lyon.
Then, back to home at midnight even though a car was waiting for me at coach station in Grenoble.
Hotel
It stands in Calos Domingos, on East coast. It has been made up of 4 rooms chalets.
Strong points :
• Warm welcome.
• Excellent and various meals.
• Nice rooms.
• All inclusive formula was noticable.
Weak points :
• Some chalets stand far from the main facilities. But there is a shuttle van.
My room was very well situated ( chalet of rooms 16 to 20 )
• Repetitive activities.

Island tour
I did not find on Internet any rental car office which delivered at this hotel, so I bought some trips suggested by Nouvelles Frontières.
Pretty expensive : 64 a person.

Surprising trip
The most interesting but the first stop was in a tourist pearl shop!
Christophe, the guid, was very cheerful and showed us nice spots :
• city of Arta (N-E),
• country house Els Calderers close to Sant Joan
• a restaurant typically with majorcan food.
• Calle figuera.
Island round tour
Disappointing. Like a rip-off ! We had to spend 45min in a leather clothes shop.
Always in a rush : beautiful lanscapes but no stops to take pictures. We saw but did not visit LLuc's monastery.
1h30 waiting catamaran in Sa Calobra, then, at 2pm going to Soller harbor ( 50min ). When in Soller harbor, we took an old wooden train going to Soller city.
No time to breath and visit, we took another wooden train to go to Palma to hardly see something (13 tunnels, steep-sided). Then back to hotels using bus.
Palma tour
Leaving hotel at 9h, wasting 2h going round to take all customers, then very fast visit ot the cathedral. Free time till 4 pm and then 2h bus going back to the hotels.
Close to the cathedral I found out a typical restaurant :
So I think it's better to renting a car.
In Tropicana hotel, Nouvelles Frontières proposed a rental by Europcar : 58 a day. Expensive. Close to hotel America, I saw a rental car office.

Conclusion
I'll say that Majorca is a very beautiful island and must be visited ( not in summer of course ).
This isn't like Ibiza and its nefarious reputation. (deserved said most of Majorcans)
